Every solar installation displaces carbon emissions from diesel generators and grid electricity that would otherwise power water pumps. We are registering a Gold Standard Programme of Activities that aggregates these emission reductions across our entire portfolio — generating verified carbon credits sold on the voluntary carbon market.
Water Abundance Africa serves as the concessional capital gateway, first-loss guarantee provider, and carbon credit aggregator for the broader Waterlift ecosystem — channelling climate finance, donor capital, and carbon revenue into school solar and water infrastructure at scale. Each school funded generates the carbon revenue to fund the next.
